CREAMY TONE

Emphasis on mid and lower-mid frequencies creates a dense, punchy tone with a soft, warm Germanium coloration, allowing it to cut through the mix and sound more expressive.

TRUE VINTAGE TONE

For the Deadman Fuzz, we created our custom hybrid SI/GE schematic. We specifically selected vintage transistors and combined silicon with germanium elements in a unique way. Our goal was to deliver an authentic vintage tone with good clarity and punch, and at the same time, softness and good dynamic response.

As a result, we achieved a colored mellow clean tone, creamy overdrive, and rich, textured fuzz. This is what makes the Deadman Fuzz stand out among similar type circuits.

UNIQUE CLIPPING STRUCTURES

The unconventional arrangement of germanium transistors delivers a non‑standard saturation with the warm, smooth response of old germanium circuits: increased grittiness, a rounded and soft clipping edge, perfect dynamic control, compressed lows, tamed highs, and a pronounced lower‑midrange.

The character of the response transforms along with the gain and results in a smooth evolution of tone: from a clean sound with a dark tint, to a warm overdrive with emphasis on lower‑mid frequencies, then to a low/mid‑gain fuzz with long sustain, and finally to a powerful fuzz ranging from a tight, punchy tone to a rich, bright saturation.

DETAIL IN TONE CONTROL

For tonal balance and compensation, the Low-Cut knob cuts low frequencies while preserving high-mids. Turning it clockwise reduces lows and gently boosts highs; turning it counterclockwise adds bass and gain while gently rolling off the highs. This is extremely useful for fine-tuning the frequency response rather than completely altering it.
 
Our dedicated tone control is designed to preserve clarity, ensuring that no matter how the settings are tweaked, the result remains musical and free from muddiness or acid brightness.

EDGE OF BREAKUP

The Deadman Fuzz shines in the medium gain zone, delivering a tight roar with a distinctly fuzzy overdrive. The unique character is focused on the lower and upper midrange, providing a tone right on the edge of breakup.

DARK LOW GAIN

Dark, lower-midrange-focused overdrive. Soft grain, original clipping structure, light compression, slightly softened attack, excellent dynamics. The Low-Cut knob provides tone compensation, adjusting the warmth saturation.
