A REAL SPRING TANK, FROM CLEAN SURF TO FULL STORM.

The Seamark Reverb is a fully analog reverb with a real spring tank inside, the springs driven by their own power amplifier stage the way a vintage amp drives its own. Nothing here is modelled: what you hear is the non-linear response of real steel, and every note you play sets it moving.

Keep the controls low and it is the spring sound you know: bright surf, dark western, wide ambient. Push them and the springs start to break up: grain, noise, and finally feedback. Springs have a character of their own, and this one was voiced against the grain of the tradition.

Built for the classics: surf, western, psych. And for everything past them: noise, shoegaze, hard ambient, experimental textures.

A reverb you play. Or one that plays you. Your call.

THE CONCEPT

A seamark is what you steer by when the shore is out of sight. We took the sunny beach tones of the spring reverb tradition and turned them inside out: a dark and stormy atmosphere, noir shades, a metallic edge. Underneath it all the warmth of the western and surf tones is still there, and that is what keeps the storm musical.

TWO MODES

In Classic mode the Seamark is a clean, classic spring reverb with no unnecessary distortion and no added noise: surf, western, ambient swells and long surrounding tails. In Graininess mode the same circuit saturates, grains over and feeds back, laying a dark and noisy atmosphere behind your sound.

COMPACT SIZE

The most compact true spring reverb on the market: 145 × 95 × 49 mm, with a real spring tank inside. Our own suspension holds the block, so it answers your playing and not the drummer, the cab, or the floor under your feet. Everyone else makes you choose between real springs and your pedalboard.

FROM CLASSIC TO GRAININESS

AMOUNT is the mix. All the way down there is no reverb at all and you are left with your clean signal running through the output stage, coloured and lightly compressed. All the way up there is nothing but springs.

IMPACT is the dwell control: how much signal is sent into the spring coil. Low, and the tank stays clean and polite. That is Classic. Turn it up and the springs swing harder than they were meant to. Grain arrives first. Then a dark, noisy atmosphere sitting behind everything you play. Then feedback, as the input and output coils start feeding each other. Through all of it the JFET output stage saturates with the springs and holds the dry and the wet together as one sound.

Classic and Graininess are not settings you select. They are where these two controls take you, and every point between them is yours.

TONE rolls the highs off the reverb only, so the storm can sit under a clean guitar. LEVEL sets the output.

THE SPLASH FOOTSWITCH

SPLASH is the second footswitch. It sets IMPACT to its maximum: the reverb input coil saturates, the springs break into extra oscillation, and the output stage is driven into overdrive with them. Press it once for the storm and again to come back, with the LED brighter while it is on. If you would rather have it only while your foot is down, hold the switch for ten seconds and it becomes momentary.

On most pedals the dwell is set by hand, before you play. Here how much grain you get, and when, moves to your foot: a controlled reverb under the verse, the full storm on the last four bars, clean again for the next line.

Real springs react to being hit as well as to what you send them. Kick the enclosure with SPLASH engaged and the whole tank rings like a bell.

In front of the amp or in the effects loop, with a guitar or a bass.
